Sony’s “Next Generation Portable” unveiled

There have been many rumors about the new features of the PlayStation Portable successor, which included dual analog sticks, front and rear touch controls, a five inch screen, two cameras, PS3 quality graphics and 3G and Wi-Fi support. If you have been following the stories you’ll be happy to know that they were true. An event called PlayStation Meeting 2011 took place in Japan on Thursday where it was officially announced that the device will be released next summer.

Some games were also confirmed like Uncharted, Killzone, Little Big Planet and a new trailer of Hideo Kojima’s next Metal Gear game. A live demo of the Unreal Engine was also shown running on the portable platform.
