3DS Launch Lineup

The Nintendo 3DS is about to be launched in Japan, but North America will have to wait a little longer to see its official release (which will be March 27). Nintendo also confirmed the 3DS’ games launch lineup as well as the price for first party games: 39.99 $. There will be 16 games in total available at launch and only three of them will be published by Nintendo.

This is the list:

Asphalt 3D

Bust-A-Move Universe

Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Madden NFL Football

Nintendogs Plus Cats

Pilotwings Resort

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D

Rayman 3D

Ridge Racer 3D

Samurai Warriors: Chronicles

The Sims 3

Steel Diver

Super Monkey Ball 3D

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars

The most important omissions are The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Mario Kart and Kid Icarus uprising, though most of them are announced for 2011. Additionally, the 3DS will include some preloaded games and applications like Mii Maker, Face Raiders and Nintendo 3DS Sound. For many this is an uninteresting lineup, but what remains to be seen is what’ll be the best-selling game.

Bulletstorm is…. Meh. Addicting when playing with friends, boring when not. Multiplayer: 7.5/10… Campaign, haven’t played it yet.
