Persona 2: Innocent Sin Officially Announced for the PSP

Just like Final Fantasy, The Megami Tensei series is one of the most important franchises in the RPG genre. Fortunately, many titles have been recently published in America, making it even more popular in our continent. Now, and for the first time, Persona 2: Innocent Sin will be officially released in the US. The game, which has never received an official localization in North America, will come out as an enhanced port on the PSP.

According to Famitsu, the interface will be improved (along with a 16:9 aspect ratio), more character portraits will be made available, it’ll have superior and visuals, and more side-quests and difficulty modes will be included. Additionally, the soundtrack will have two versions, a completely remixed one and the original director’s cut. Persona 2: Innocent Sin was a critically acclaimed PlayStation title, making Atlus’ decision of publishing the game, much easier. Also, Innocent Sin’s sequel, called Eternal Punishment, was released in America in 2000 and won’t be included in this port. According to Atlus USA, the game is expected to be released in America in Fall 2011.
