Wii’s price gets cut to 149.99 u$s

Nintendo has finally officially announced that as of May 15th the Wii console will be available for only 149.99 u$s. The console, which is currently available for 169.99, includes the Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort collection of minigames. Unfortunately, and this time around, though, Wii Sports will not be included as part of the bundle, the game will be replaced by Mario Kart Wii and the Wii steering wheel.

In addition to this, Nintendo confirmed a lineup of Wii Select games, which will be available for 19,99 u$s. This lineup includes: Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Wii Sports. Previous rumors (mainly from Kotaku) stated that Super Smash Bros Brawl was going to be part of the list, but early reports suggest that we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for it. For those people who still don’t have a Wii console and want one, this seems like the perfect opportunity to get it.
