Portal 2 Free DLC Coming Next Month

Portal 2 fans have been waiting really patiently for the game’s free DLC and fortunately for them, the content will be released next month. For a while, Valve hasn’t said anything about it, but the company has confirmed at Gamescom that the content is definitely going to be released next month and it’ll be available for free.

This DLC was first announced in April and there have been many rumors about what the pack is going to offer, but its precise content hasn’t been described. Valve has said that the DLC will offer “new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes, and more.” This has been confirmed through Kotaku as they talked to Valve’s Doug Lombardi at Gamescom.

If the original announcement remains unchanged this free content will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Mac. Finally, Portal 2’s original soundtrack is still available for free so fans of the franchise should download it right now. The website is offering two volumes and a selection of ringtones and a third volume is coming soon.
