3DS Will Get Right Analog Attachment and Monster Hunter Game (Report)

Recent rumors suggested that the 3DS will be getting a right analog pad attachment soon. Now, there are more articles that support these rumors, as popular site Andriasang made reference to the upcoming issue of Famitsu which apparently details the release of the new first party peripheral. Although this represents more consistent evidence on the matter most websites are still waiting for Nintendo to confirm it.

Additionally, a new Monster Hunter game will be announced soon. The title will be called Monster Hunter 3G and will be released for the 3DS. The water elements (read: swimming) from previous games are supposed to be included along with local wireless play, twelve categories of weapons and touch screen controls.

If this is true, this will be the first time that an entry in the series will appear on a handheld console other than the PSP. The franchise has been a huge part of the PSP’s success, especially in the Japanese market and it seems weird that they wouldn’t release it on the PlayStation Vita. Finally, the game is expected to be released later this year and an early version will be playable at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
