Deadly Premonition Director Working on PS Vita Launch Title

Deadly Premonition is an open-world survival horror game developed by Access Games for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The title has received mixed reviews from critics, quickly becoming a cult classic and building a strong and dedicated fan base. Its director, Swery 65 (Hidetaka Suehiro,) is currently working with Square Enix on a game called Lords of Apocalypse, a PlayStation Vita launch title.

Swery 65 has confirmed that he’s actively working on Lords of Apocalypse an action role-playing game similar to Monster Hunter. It should be taken into account that those people who won’t buy a Vita will still have the chance to play it on the PSP, as the game is also coming for the handheld.

This title will be a follow-up to this year’s Lord of Arcana, an action title that allows up to four players to fight horrifying demons. Lord of Arcana’s gameplay has been compared to Monster Hunter and God Eater, among others, but it adds new mechanics like summonings and minigames.
