Five More 3DS Ambassador Games for the NES Revealed

The Nintendo 3DS’ ambassador program will start on September 1 and it’ll allow early adopters of the 3DS to get 10 exclusive NES titles. Though only five of those games have already been confirmed by Nintendo, the rest remained a mystery for a while, but the company announced the other games and fortunately there are some titles to be extremely excited about.

Here’s the full list of games according to GiantBomb and officially confirmed by Nintendo of America:

  • Wrecking Crew
  • NES Open Tournament Golf
  • Metroid
  • Yoshi
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
  • Super Mario Bros
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Balloon Fight
  • Ice Climber
  • The Legend of Zelda

The first five games (the ones underlined) represent the titles recently added to the list. Though there aren’t any huge surprises the list is just great as it includes some really amazing classics. It should be noted that these games lack certain features and Nintendo will later on release Virtual Console versions of these titles with save and load functionality.

Eventually, all these games will probably make it to the eShop, but Nintendo claims that the Game Boy Advance ones will not. So for those who bought a 3DS before its massive price drop, this is the perfect opportunity to get downloadable versions of some GBA games. The GBA titles will be available later this year.
