A few weeks ago, Konami officially unveiled the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. The compilation pack features enhanced versions of Metal Gear Solid classics that were previously released on the PlayStation 2 and PSP systems. These titles feature new enhancements like improved graphics, a new interface, re-drawn art, better effects and trophies and achievements support. But in addition to this version, the company will be releasing a Limited Edition one with some really interesting bonuses.
According to GameSpot, the Limited Edition will come packed in with a 248-page art book and a special package designed by Yoji Shinkawa. Unfortunately, a price hasn’t been set yet, but you should expect it to be around $79,99.
The collection includes HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Moreover, the collection will feature the new “transfarring” save system that allows users to play on both PlayStation 3 and PSP systems by wirelessly transferring the save data. Peace Walker will be the first game to feature this interesting technology and Kojima is already planning to use it on newer titles for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita systems.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be released on November 8 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and the regular edition will cost $49,99.
