Sony Confirms PlayStation Vita Launch Titles and Pricing

The PlayStation Vita is out in Japan and it’ll be here in just a few weeks as well. Additionally, Sony confirmed the list of all the titles that are going to be available when the Vita comes out along with the portable console’s accessories. The PlayStation Vita will launch in North America and Europe on February 22, 2012 and when that happens there will be around 20 retail titles and 5 downloadable games on PlayStation Network. On the other hand, some other games (like Ridge Racer) will be released on the system’s “launch window” and this will probably happen because some companies want to improve their titles before releasing them.

The list of official accessories has also been confirmed and it seems like Sony’s proprietary cards will be extremely expensive and this is something that most websites have been reporting for a while now. Finally, let’s repeat some basic facts about the console: The PlayStation Vita will come out in America and Europe on February 22, 2012 and in Australia on February 23, 2012. The Wi-Fi-only version of the handheld will cost $249,99 and the Wi-Fi/3G version of the portable console will cost $299,99. European pricing is different as the former (Wi-Fi model) will be available for €249,99 and the latter (Wi-Fi/3G model) for €299,99.
