The latest episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy is finally here and this is arguably the most anticipated installment in the series as it features both Scorpion and Sub-Zero, two of Mortal Kombat’s most iconic characters. It’s great to see that the stories of both characters are so closely related in this reimagined version of the MK universe. Taking into account that the Hollywood movies (Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation) portrayed these characters as soulless manikins, this version definitely succeeds at giving them proper motivations and makes them look more human and that’s an achievement in itself.

The episode introduces Hanzo Hasashi, also known as the legendary warrior Scorpion. The able fighter is summoned by the Shogun of Kumamoto Castle, but soon enough, the combatant finds out that this has been a trap to lure him out of his village and leave it unprotected. Now Scorpion has to defeat his longtime enemy Sub-Zero and go back to his village to protect his beloved family. It’s worth pointing out that the fact that the episode is in Japanese (with English subtitles of course,) adds much more authenticity to it. Also note that this part of the story in particular is divided into two, so expect the second part soon. In the meantime, “get over here” and watch episode 7:
