Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game was originally released on August 2010, but the side-scrolling beat ‘em up is about to receive the long-awaited multiplayer mode in the form of downloadable content two years after its release. It’s great to know that Ubisoft hasn’t forgotten about this game and to prove that, they are about to release brand new content for it.
Scott Pilgrim’s game was really well received for modernizing the brawler genre and for having a very unique visual style, but one of the most common criticisms was the game’s lack of online multiplayer (the title allows 4-player cooperative mode but only locally.) Thankfully, the highly requested feature will finally be released this month.
The DLC will be 400 Microsoft Points on XBLA and $4.99 on PSN and it comes out on August 19 for both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network platforms. It’s worth noting that apart from the online multiplayer mode, the DLC features a new character, called Wallace Wells.
I guess it’s better late than never, right?
