If I mention video game developer Team17, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Undoubtedly, most people’s answer would be something related to the Worms franchise. Although the company is best known for working on the beloved Worms series, Team17 produced many Amiga titles that made use of the console’s unique capabilities. One of those games was Alien Breed, a science fiction top-down shooter that paid homage to the Aliens films.
At the time of its release Alien Breed was critically acclaimed and 1992’s Special Edition was so popular that it remained in the British software charts for more than a year. Fortunately for those of you who missed it back in the day, the game is now available as a universal app that features both original and improved graphics, four new levels, iCloud support, Game Center Leaderboards and Achievements and Retina Display support.
Alien Breed is now available on iTunes for $4.99.
