Everyone who has played Corpse Party for the PlayStation Portable agrees that the game is quite disturbing. That’s why a lot of fanatics will be happy to know that a direct sequel, called Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, is coming to North America this winter (note that the European version of the game will be available “shortly thereafter.”) This sequel is coming for the PSP as an exclusive downloadable.
Book of Shadows will be divided into eight chapters that either shed light on events from the first game or explain the back stories of some characters. Additionally, other chapters present alternate universes in the form of “What If?” questions.
For more information about the announcement make sure you visit the PlayStation Blog where XSEED’s localization specialist Tom Lipschultz provides some details about the localization process.
In addition to the announcement of a direct sequel, the original Corpse Party will be available for $9.99 for two weeks. Finally, it’s worth noting that Corpse Party is Vita-compatible.
