Today, in what I like to call “Price cut day,” Nintendo cut down the retail price of the Wii to $129.99, down from $149.99. Not only does this make the Wii the cheapest console of the current generation, but also represents an inviting deal before the WiiU comes out on November 18th.
Apart from the console itself, a Wii Remote Plus and a Nunchuk (all in black,) the bundle features both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort on one disc. According to Nintendo, this bundle should be available in stores by October 28th. On the other hand, the discontinued $149.99 version included New Super Mario Bros. Wii and the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack.
The holiday season is getting dangerously close. Both Microsoft and Nintendo have announced price drops for the Xbox 360 and the Wii respectively. Unfortunately, the console that I’m most interested in is the PlayStation 3, but it seems way too expensive. Any ideas Sony?
