Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror Comes to Android Just in Time for Mayan Prediction

Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror Remastered Edition originally came out on iOS and Mac OS X in 2010. Google Play has just gotten the exact same version of Revolution’s software point-and-click adventure game, but there’s one particular detail that makes this version the best so far: the plot of the title is based on the Mayan prediction which says that the world will end on December 21st, 2012 (or 12/21/12.) That’s a few days from now, so those who believe in those sort of predictions should find the time to play Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror now or they’ll miss their last chance to play it.

The Smoking Mirror is the follow-up to Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut and follows the story of George Stobbart and his girlfriend Nicole Collard as they try to unveil a Mayan mystery. While the original release was quite well received back in the day, the Remastered Edition received even more praise for its high production values, attractive visual presentation, well-designed puzzles and solid voice acting.

A while ago, Revolution Software was part of a successful Kickstarter campaign which raised $800,000 that will allow the British company to develop Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse. The title is expected to come out in early 2013 for the PC, Mac, iOS and Android. At least if the world doesn’t end first..
