Duke Nukem 3D Free on GOG, Holiday Sale Now Live

It’s that time of the year again. The time in which GOG (formerly known as Good Old Games) releases a free game as part of their holiday sale. In this case, the free title is no other than Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition and the tongue-in-cheek shooter will remain that way until Friday, December 14th. Interestingly, Atomic Edition is compatible with both PC and Mac platforms. Those interested should head over to GOG and download the game right now.

Once you get Duke Nukem 3D, you can go to this forum thread and get a few fan-developed modifications for the classic shooter, including the High Resolution Mod. But that’s not all, while you’re at it, why don’t you buy a few titles from the 2012 DRM-Free Holiday Sale? Not only is almost every game in GOG’s catalog half off the regular price, but there are also a few daily deals.

My favorite deals so far? Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition for $4.99, The Longest Journey for $4.99, Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition for $4.99 and Fahrenheit (known as Indigo Prophecy in America) for $2.99 are just a few of them. I’ve been meaning to get that last one for a few years now, so I guess I don’t have any more excuses now that it’s so cheap…
