Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable Out Now for the PS Vita, Launch Trailer Available

Given the track record of the PlayStation Vita, the title of this article should be: “Breaking News, New Vita Game Released.” But despite the console’s lack of games, Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable looks great.

For the uninitiated, the title is a port of Earth Defense Force 2017 which was originally released for the Xbox 360 in 2007. The Vita version adds a couple of inviting extras, including a playable Pale Wing unit, new missions, enemies, co-op and versus multiplayer modes. Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is now available in the North America PSN for $39.99.

Additionally, if you buy the game before February 4th, you get free DLC in the form of four weapons (Electro Paralyzer, Heat Blaster, Limit Booster and Reverse Drone.) After February 4th, the weapons will cost $0.99 each.
