Terraria is coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in February, 505 Games has confirmed via the YouTube description of the video embedded above. Additionally, the announcement video details all the brand-new content that the console version will have.
The console version of Terraria will feature revamped controls, four-player split-screen multiplayer (HD only,) an online mode where up to eight players can participate, a world map and new tutorial, armor, ultimate weapons, enemies, pets, music and final boss.
Terraria was originally released for the PC on May 16th, 2011 and the 2D action-adventure RPG quickly became one of the most popular titles of that year. Soon enough, developer Re-Logic announced that their indie title was coming to consoles. Fortunately, it seems like this upcoming version will address some of the most common criticisms of the PC version (such as the lack of a proper tutorial.)
