Up until this point, the team behind Wasteland 2 has only shown us a few screenshots of the upcoming game. More recently though, inXile revealed the first gameplay video of the post-apocalyptic role-playing game and the footage does look impressive.
According to the latest Kickstarter update, the demo video is based on an actual playable area so as not to waste any code. After a short introduction that includes some of the developers’ favorite radio broadcasters, Development Director Chris Keenan shows the UI and the turn-based combat, among other features.
Raising almost $3 million, Wasteland 2 is one of the successful Kickstarter campaigns ever. The title is expected to come out for PC, Mac and Linux later this year and it’ll include the original Wasteland as a freebie.
