Freebird Games’ To the Moon is one of the most emotionally resonant indie titles of the past few years and it has been announced that the 2011 game will receive a follow-up that will bridge the gap between To the Moon and its upcoming sequel. The short game is called A Bird Story and the adventure is expected to come out sometime this summer.
Indie adventure short A Bird Story will be narrative-driven and according to creator Kan Gao, it takes around 30 minutes to finish. Additionally, A Bird Story has almost no dialogue and the soundtrack is being composed by Gao as well.
In my review, I called To the Moon “one of the most emotionally enrapturing stories in recent years.” So I’m really excited about this follow-up even when it’s a short story that you can finish in one sitting.
