Namco Bandai announced that they are going to release Soulcalibur V as a digital title on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Games on Demand on April 23rd. This means that the fifth iteration in the Soulcalibur series will be available for $19.99.
Originally released in 2012, Soulcalibur V is a follow-up to Soulcalibur IV and retains the weapon-based gameplay so characteristic of the series. Although some critics thought that SoulCalibur V reinvented the franchise, others criticized the fact that some of the most iconic characters were nowhere to be found in this entry, including Sophitia, Cassandra and Taki.
Personally, I stopped playing the series after Soulcalibur III, but I was hoping to try some of the newer iterations. After all, I have to catch up with all those guest characters.
