Carmageddon Crashes Against Android on May 10th, Free the First Day

The violent vehicular combat game known as Carmageddon is coming to Android on May 10th, Stainless Games announced. Not only that, but if you manage to grab the game as soon as it’s released, you can download it free of charge. That’s right, Carmageddon will be completely free for the first 24 hours on Google Play.

Carmageddon was originally released in 1997, but this upcoming version features a slew of new features, including improved graphics, touch controls and YouTube and Facebook integration to share videos.

I tried playing Carmageddon a couple of years ago on my PC (I didn’t know of the existence of GOG at the time) and I couldn’t play it due to some incompatibility with my operating system. Before that, I remember playing Carmageddon on a Nintendo 64 somewhere. How does the game hold up after so many years? If you know the answer, don’t hesitate to leave a comment.
