Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies Coming to the West as a Digital Release

The fifth iteration in the Phoenix Wright series is coming to North America and Europe as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, Capcom has confirmed. The game’s coming to the aforementioned territories this Fall, though a price hasn’t been announced yet. Still, you better have a big SD card, because Dual Destinies will only be sold digitally through the 3DS eShop.

The story of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies takes place eight years after the last game in the series. As usual, this upcoming iteration follows Phoenix Wright as he returns to the Courthouse, but features some new ideas. As you can see on the trailer above, a new companion called Athena Cykes will assist Phoenix. Also, a new mechanic will come into play. This mechanic allows players to notice unusual feelings during the examinations.

On a more personal note, the last Phoenix Wright game I played was probably the first one on the Nintendo DS. In fact, I played that game a couple of times but never finished it for multiple reasons. Now that a new installment is coming out, maybe I should try to catch up with the series. What about you? Are you excited about a new Phoenix Wright coming out in the west?
