Original Wasteland Coming to GOG and Steam as a Stand-Alone Game

Wasteland

Post-apocalyptic role-playing game Wasteland is coming to both GOG and Steam, developer inXile Entertainment announced via a Kickstarter update. A while ago, the company announced that Wasteland 2 is going to include a digital copy of the original Wasteland when it comes out. Now inXile is announcing that they will also release the critically acclaimed RPG as a stand-alone title as well.

The release of the classic game has been possible thanks to a deal that inXile has with Electronic Arts. Since a lot of players didn’t get a chance to play the original Wasteland back in the day, releasing it individually makes a lot of sense.

Wasteland 2 has been one of the most popular Kickstarter campaigns, earning almost $3 million in April 2012. More recently, inXile announced that the game has been delayed due to its overwhelming success. When Wasteland 2 finally comes out, backers will also receive a copy of the original Wasteland.
