Retro City Rampage, Brian Provinciano’s open-world game, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo has announced. The announcement came as part of a press release that revealed some of the titles that will be playable at PAX Prime.
According to Joystiq, the 3DS version of Retro City Rampage will feature the latest update, so the Retro+ Mode will be part of the upcoming port. The article also states that the 3DS version of the game will be out this holiday season.
For the uninitiated, Retro City Rampage is retro-styled open-world game that shares a lot of similarities with Grand Theft Auto series. In fact, the game started as a Grand Theft Auto 3 port on the NES and mutated into a fully fledged game. Retro City Rampage is available on numerous platforms, including PC, Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
