The recently announced Shadowrun Returns Belin DLC has been delayed until next year, developer Harebrained Schemes has announced via Kickstarter. The DLC, which was supposed to come out in October, has been delayed until January 2014 and will become a fully fledged expansion instead.
“However, after listening to your forum discussions and feedback, it became clear that you would like to see something bigger (and so would we). So, we’ve decided to spend more time on Berlin to create an experience closer to the size of Dead Man’s Switch,” the developer said.
Additionally, Harebrained Schemes shared some of the ideas that will drive this upcoming expansion. The developer is hoping to include new weapons, outfits, music and enemies, improved gameplay for the Physical Adept class, NPC characters with more depth and a more flexible story arc.
It also looks like the team is considering the possibility of improving the save system. Without a doubt, the save functionality has been one of the most criticized aspects of the game and the developer would like to let players save anywhere they want. Of course, this means changing the structure of the game, so they aren’t sure if it’s possible yet. But it seems like we’re going to have more news about this soon.
