Open-world RPG Dark Souls II will launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 11th in North America, March 14th in Europe and March 13th in Japan, so be prepared to die over and over again. It’s worth pointing out that the PC version will be available “shortly thereafter”, according to Namco Bandai.
The content of the Collector’s Edition was also revealed and will feature a soundtrack, artbook, 12-inch figurine and cloth map. Sadists who pre-order the game will receive both the game and soundtrack in an exclusive tin case.
For the uninitiated, Dark Souls II is the direct sequel to Dark Souls a cruel open-world role-playing game. Although famous for its high difficulty, the original Dark Souls was critically acclaimed for going back to the genre’s roots and for providing an incredible sense of adventure and fear.
