Everything indicates that Valve will reveal more details about the Steam Box this Monday.
Valve has launched a teaser site through which the company will explain how playing in the living room will change. The message at the top of the website says “the Steam universe is expanding in 2014.”
Apart from the vague message, the site features a countdown and some cryptic images that make reference to three separate announcements, the first of which will be made this Monday at 1PM Eastern. It’s worth mentioning that earlier this week, Gabe Newell teased a hardware announcement during a Linux conference.
In a message sent to the press, a representative said “we will be talking next week about the steps we’re taking to make Steam more accessible on televisions and in the living room.”
So we’ll have to wait until Monday to see what Valve has been working on, but whatever it’s, it sounds really exciting. Although a new generation of hardware is just ahead, PC gaming isn’t going away any time soon that’s for sure.
