Bioshock 2 and Minerva’s Den Expansion Now Available on Steam

Bioshock 2 (PC)

Bioshock 2 and all of its downloadable content (including critically acclaimed expansion Minerva’s Den) are now available on Steam, 2K Games has announced via its official blog.

Since the Games for Windows Live marketplace closed this August, many people started wondering what would happen with their PC games. In the case of Bioshock 2 the answer was easy: the game would be released on Steam.

Canadian studio Digital Extremes was in charge of porting the game to Steamworks. This recently released version features a handful of improvements, including controller compatibility, Steam achievements and Big Picture Mode support.

The Steam version of Bioshock 2 includes all multiplayer DLC, the Sinclair Solutions test pack, the Rapture Metro map pack and single-player “Protector Trials” DLC. The game and all of its downloadable content cost $19.99. Expansion Minerva’s Den is available separately for $9.99. It’s worth pointing out that if you bought the game via Games For Windows Live, you can use that activation key on Steam to unlock the full package.
