After posting a couple of cryptic teasers (embedded below,) developer Frictional Games revealed a new project called SOMA. Although famous for developing Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Penumbra and for publishing Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Sweden studio Frictional Games has revealed a horror game that seems to be set in a completely different universe.
As you can see on the teaser trailer embedded above, SOMA is a science-fiction horror game that’s played from a first-person perspective. Like Amnesia: The Dark Descent, SOMA puts you in control of a regular man who finds himself trapped in a horrible place. But that’s where the similarities to Amnesia end, since the upcoming title will explore thought-provoking themes related to consciousness and the humanity of machines.

SOMA is coming to PC and PlayStation 4 in 2015.
