Skulls of the Shogun Finally Available for iOS

Skulls of the Shogun (iOS)

17-Bit’s turn-based strategy game Skulls of the Shogun is now available for iOS devices for $4.99, the studio has announced. Although fans of strategy games have been enjoying Skulls of the Shogun on Xbox 360, PC and Windows Phone platforms, this is the first time that the game is available for iOS.

The iOS game is based on the Steam version (called Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition) which included a variety of improvements and extra content. Among other features, the Bone-A-Fide Edition has bonus missions, the Tanuki monk suit and supports operating systems other than Windows 8.

Additionally, those who buy Skulls of the Shogun on iOS will be able to play against Steam users if they login using the Skull Anywhere account. Overall, there’s cross-platform play between iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Steam users.

In my review of Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition, I said: “Not only does Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition prove that the turn-based strategy genre is alive and kicking, but it does so in a stylish and grin-inducing manner.”
