Broforce Coming to Steam Early Access in March 2014

Side-scrolling run-and-gun platformer Broforce is coming to Steam Early Access in March 2014, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Free Lives have announced. The full PC and console versions of Broforce are expected to come out this summer.

Broforce was born in the Ludum Dare 23 game jam, but its concept was so fresh and original, that the team behind the platformer decided to make Broforce a full game. In Broforce, players assume the role of bros, hypermasculine action-heroes who fight terrorists and rescue prisoners of war. Interestingly, the bros are based on classic action-heroes such as The Matrix’s Morpheus, Die Hard’s John McClane, Alien’s Ellen Ripley, Terminator’s Sarah Connor and Chuck Norris.

Although Broforce has a single-player campaign, up to four friends will be able to play locally or online. There’s also a level editor where players will be able to create and share their favorite levels.
