Retro City Rampage: DX Coming to the 3DS on February 7th

The Nintendo 3DS version of downloadable action-adventure game Retro City Rampage will be out tomorrow, February 7th developer Brian Provinciano has confirmed. Retro City Rampage: DX hits the North American Nintendo 3DS eShop tomorrow for $9.99. Europeans will have to wait until February 20th to have access to this version.

Retro City Rampage: DX is a remastered version of the original game that includes all the improvements and additions that came out for all the other versions through patches. On top of that, vehicles are faster, there are more checkpoints and there are some changes related to hint screens, missions, controls and tutorials.

As a way of celebrating the release of Retro City Rampage on yet another console, the PC version of the game will receive a price drop tomorrow. Instead of paying $14.99, PC users will pay $9.99 on Steam, GOG and The Humble Store.

Retro City Rampage is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox Live Arcade, PC, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. For more information about Retro City Rampage, read my review.

  • @Eddiestephans It seems that DS is going to release on 3DS today. I am excited for this because Retro City Rampage is quite good fun to play with 3DS.

Like you Eddie, I really like playing open-world games on handhelds. I guess that’s one of the reasons why I enjoyed Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories on the PSP so much. Thanks for the comment!
