Apart from supporting Windows and Mac, Wasteland 2 is now playable on Linux machines, developer inXile Entertainment has announced. It’s worth pointing out that the team hasn’t had a chance to test the Linux build on a variety of platforms, but I think it’s fair to assume that the Linux version of the game will be improved as time goes by and more patches come out.
This functionality comes as part of the game’s latest patch which also brings new features, areas, tutorials, optimizations, fixes, sounds and about 400 other changes. By the way, take into account that downloading and installing the latest patch breaks all saves.
Wasteland 2 is still in beta and a precise release date for the final version of the game hasn’t been announced yet.
