Publisher Deep Silver has confirmed that they are working on remastered versions of the Metro series. Metro Redux is a compilation that features both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, but unlike the original releases, the upcoming games run at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
Metro Redux is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Steam OS later this year. Additionally, the games will be available for $24.99 each or you can purchase the double pack for $49.99 on the different digital distribution services.
For the uninitiated, Metro is a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter series based on a popular Russian novel. In the games, you assume the role of Artyom, a member of an underground community build in Russia’s train system. People living underground can’t go to the surface, since it’s inhabited by horrible creatures, but living in the tunnel system isn’t any better, since there are bandits and scavengers.
