Xbox One Controller Now Works on the PC

Xbox One (Controller)

Here’s something some of you might have missed, since it happened when E3 was about to start. Major Nelson announced that drivers for the Xbox One controller are now available for download which means that you can use the controller to play PC games and access certain applications. As of this news article, you need to download (and install) the drivers manually, but they’ll be part of a Windows update which is coming in the near future.

For most people, the Xbox One controller is remarkably superior to the Xbox 360 one which is why most people have requested compatibility with the PC. It’s great to know that all the games and applications you’ve been playing and using with the Xbox 360 controller will be compatible with the Xbox One controller. In terms of new features, the Xbox One controller includes an improved D-pad, redesigned battery compartment, trigger rumble, faster response time and new design.
