Local multiplayer dungeon crawler Crawl will be out on Steam on August 6th for PC, Mac and Linux, developer Powerhoof has announced. The game will first launch as a Steam Early Access, but the full version of the game will have more monsters, deities, bosses, weapons, items, traps, environments, secrets and more.
In the dungeon crawler game, you play as the hero and your friends (Crawl supports up to four players) assume the role of the monsters. The main objective involves exploring the randomly generating dungeons, defeating the monsters that spawn there and avoiding the traps. If a player slays the hero, that person immediately takes their place, so you’re the one in charge of crawling.
The full version of Crawl is expected to come out in early 2015 and online multiplayer is a possibility.
