2012 saw the release of Q.U.B.E. (also known as Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion,) a physics-based puzzle game where you guide an avatar through diverse levels to try and find the exit. The game came out on the PC and received some good reviews, since critics compared it to the Portal series and the puzzle mechanics mixed classic concepts with innovative ones. Now developer Toxic Games announced that Q.U.B.E. ² is coming to PS4.
For the sequel, developers are trying to refine some of the mechanics of the original and they are also trying to incorporate new ideas. The sequel will feature Unreal Engine 4, so I wouldn’t worry too much about how the cubes look.
It’s worth pointing out that the original Q.U.B.E. Is coming to the iOS, Wii U, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 later this year.
