French developer Shiro Games announced the sequel of Evoland, Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder.
For those unfamiliar, Evoland is a short action role-playing game that tells the story of the genres by allowing players to unlock new technologies, so while you start in the 8-bit era, by the end of the game you’ll be playing a three-dimensional game. In my review, I called Evoland, “Not only extraordinarily funny, but also a creative, clever and well executed homage.”
According to the press release, the upcoming sequel will have a more complex story, new mechanics, varying art styles, new challenges, puzzles and more. Evoland 2 is expected to come out in Q2 2015 for PC and Mac. For more information about Evoland 2, check out the game’s official blog.
