Endless runner Race the Sun is coming to the PSN this Tuesday, developer Flippfly announced on the PlayStation Blog. Race the Sun an independent platformer where you play as a solar-powered plane that keeps going as long as the sun is visible. As you progress through the game, you unlock different power-ups, but if the sun sets or if you crash, you lose.
For those of you interested in the most technical aspects of the game, both the PS3 and PS4 versions of Race the Sun run at 60 frames per second (at 1080p resolution,) so it doesn’t get better than that. The PSN version also has Cross-Buy, so no matter which version you buy (the game costs $9.99,) you get all of them for free and there are also leaderboards.
The game comes with a new mode called “Labyrinthia” that focuses on planning your route even if the track is full of obstacles. For more information about this mode, check out the recently released video embedded above. Race the Sun is also compatible with the PlayStation TV, so if you own the set-top box, you’ll be able to play the game in there.
