Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse Comes Out This Thursday

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, WayForward’s two-dimensional platformer which is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, will be out on the North American eShop this Thursday, October 23rd for $19.99, the developer has announced. There will be a Wii U version of the game coming out as well, but you’ll have to wait until winter to download that one.

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is the third entry in the series and marks the game conclusion of the original storyline. The original Shantae came out for the Game Boy Color in 2002 and its sequel came out in 2010 for the DSiWare, iOS and PC. Both titles received universal acclaim for their colorful visuals, catchy soundtracks and old school style.

Fans of the series will finally be able to play the conclusion to the trilogy when Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse comes out this week. For those of you who missed previous entries, Shantae is available on the 3DS Virtual Console and Shantae: Risky’s Revenge is on Steam.
