Crytek’s Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter game that was released in November 2007. When it came out, the game was exclusively available for the PC and it became well known for its high system requirements. As a consequence, many console owners never got a chance to experience the title. Fortunately, that’ll change really soon as both Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions are going to be released next week.
The updated version of the game will come out on October 4 and it’ll be available on XBLA and PSN for $20 (1600 Microsoft Points.) This new version only has the game’s single-player campaign and it’ll feature better lightning, optimized controls, 3D support and other minor improvements.
In any way, it’ll be quite interesting to see how well the game translates to consoles as the PC version was really impressive from both graphical and technical points of view. I guess we’re going to find out soon.
