Love letters? Who writes them anymore? Those who still remember and feel nostalgic just thinking about them should definitely play The Love Letter. This is an independent game that was part of Ludum Dare, a game development competition that usually encourages developers to finish a title in 48 to 72 hours. Each game must be based on a specific theme and it’s quite surprising that The Love Letter was actually based on the theme “alone.”
The story is heart-warming, the 16-bit graphics are charming and controls are pretty simple as you only use the mouse to move your character and read the letter. The whole experience takes 5 minutes (literally) as you need to avoid people roaming around the hallways of the school so you can read the love letter you have just received.
