Capcom has recently announced that they will be bringing a high-definition port of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. This update was confirmed at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and the company stated that the remake will feature online capabilities and both original graphics and HD ones. The remake will launch on PlayStation Network on August 21 and on Xbox Live Arcade on August 22 for $19.99 and 1600 Microsoft Points respectively. For the uninitiated, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is currently the second longest running manga series with more than 106 volumes and it’s written and illustrated by Hirahiki Araki.
The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game was originally released in Arcades in 1998, but was later on ported to the Dreamcast and PlayStation consoles. The most recent title in the overly eccentric series, called JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, came out for the PlayStation 2 in 2006 and was based on the first story arc of the manga series. Even more recently though and as part of a 25th anniversary celebration, it has been confirmed that CyberConnect2 will be in charge of a new title in the flamboyant fighting series which will be called JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle and will come out for the PS3.
