Marvelous Entertainment’s Half-Minute Hero is coming to Steam. This upcoming version of the game is called Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy and it’ll have all the extra modes from the PSP version, Steamworks support, achievements, leaderboards, matchmaking, cloud saves and much more. In addition, players will be able to switch between graphics from the Xbox 360 version and the old-school graphics and for the first time the game will be available in French, Italian, Spanish and German.
Among other features, the PSP version added several modes, including Princess 30 Mode that plays similar to a shoot ‘em up title and Knight 30 Mode an action title where you play as a knight that needs to protect a sage. Half-Minute Hero became popular for being overly zany and for combining real-time strategy, action, role-playing and shoot ‘em up elements on one package.
For the uninitiated, Half-Minute Hero is a game where you need to fight monsters, help villagers, get powerful equipment, defeat bosses and save the world in less than 30 seconds. While this seems like an impossible feat, Half-Minute Hero has a Time Goddess statue that gives you more time if you’re willing to pay her a fee. It’s worth noting that this fee increments the more you use the rewind time mechanic.
