Dreamfall Chapters Hits Kickstarter Goal, Gets Mac and Linux Version

Dreamfall Chapters (Kickstarter)

With 18 days to go, the Dreamfall Chapters Kickstarter campaign is already a resounding success. Developer Red Thread Games has accrued almost $1 million (of $850,000 pledged) which means that the game is definitely going to happen. Since the project hit its goal ahead schedule, a few stretch goals were announced a couple of days ago, including Mac and Linux versions if the project reaches $900,000, an in-game library called The Loremaster if it reaches $950,000, A Longer Journey (which adds new locations and characters) if the project reaches the $1 million mark and finally, something called The Longest Journey Home which is a complete mystery.

As of this writing, the project has almost $950,000 which means that the Mac and Linux version is already a reality. If everything goes well, both The Loremaster and A Longer Journey will also become part of the final product soon. Note that multiple stretch goals are yet to be announced, so stay tuned for additional updates.
