Capcom Fighting Evolution, a 2D fighting game that features some of Capcom’s most emblematic characters, is coming to PSN next Tuesday, the PlayStation Blogcast has announced. Following the release of Capcom vs. SNK 2, the fighting crossover is coming to PS3 as a PS2 Classic, so there will be no new modes or improved visuals.
We knew that Capcom Fighting Evolution was coming to PSN eventually, but it took Capcom a couple of months to release the 2004 crossover in North America. Although the game will be released next week, a price hasn’t been confirmed yet. But taking into account that most PS2 Classics are available for $9.99, we can expect the same price for Capcom Fighting Evolution.
For the uninitiated, Capcom Fighting Evolution (known in Japan as Capcom Fighting Jam) features characters from Street Fighter II, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter III, Darkstalkers and Red Earth games. One of the game’s most interesting features is that each character uses the fighting system from its original game.
