The Director’s Cut version of survival horror game Lone Survivor is coming to PC and Mac in Halloween, developer Jasper Byrne has announced via Super Flat Games’ official website. In Lone Survivor, you assume the role of an unnamed character who’s always wearing a surgical mask as he avoids monsters and looks for supplies.
As of this news article, Good Old Games and the game’s official website were confirmed as distribution venues, but more services are going to be announced soon. A price, on the other hand, hasn’t been confirmed yet, but its worth pointing out that those people who already own the regular version of Lone Survivor will be able to upgrade to the Director’s Cut free of charge or for $0,01 if they bought in on the Humble Store.
Save data from the original will be compatible with the Director’s Cut, so you won’t lose any progress. Additionally, you’ll be able to switch between versions of the game at any point and compare the differences.
