Persona 5 Coming to PlayStation 3 in 2014, Spin-Offs Announced

During a recent Persona event, Atlus officially announced Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3. The latest entry in the role-playing game series is launching in winter 2014 in Japan. Finally!

To commemorate the announcement, a teaser trailer was released. The video may not have a lot of details about the story or any gameplay, but what is does have is some powerful imagery, such as chairs, shackles and a haunting soundtrack.

Apart from Persona 5, Atlus also announced three-spin off titles which are coming to various platforms. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is a dungeon crawler that features characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4, the game is launching on June 5th, 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS.

Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold is a follow-up to Persona 4 Arena, a fighting game that featured characters from the Persona series. The sequel to Persona 4 Arena is coming to Japanese PlayStation 3s in 2014.

Finally, Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a collaboration between Atlus and Dingo. The rhythm game is coming to the PlayStation Vita in fall of 2014.

As of this writing, release dates for North America haven’t been announced.
